Junk Foods and Poverty

Because of the growing poverty, many families are being burdened with unbearable financial problems. What’s worse is that even the children are suffering because they are only given little allowance for school, where they are hoping to be educated and recover from their scarcity. But how will these youngsters learn if the only thing that is revolving inside their brains is that their stomachs need something to digest. So instead of indulging fulfilling plates, they are spending their coins on junk foods for these are a lot cheaper than rice meals and these are what their allowance can afford every day. Because this type of routine, these young people are more likely to develop health crisis such as bad eating habits and obesity added that these types of foods are jam-packed with heaping salts and monosodium glutamate (MSG) and cups of sugar which are contained in soft drinks. They are also under the risk of developing kidney ailments, diabetes, hepatitis and worst, varying cancers. Do their parents know about their situation while they are not under their courtesy? Parents must provide their kids foods that will not risk their health and raising them with proper guidance to deal with this kind of dilemma. With appropriate supervision, they can somehow aid the worsening of their poverty and prevent further problems that may hinder the success of their future leaders.
